What changes this appliance’s cost?
A shower is mainly a flow-rate and minutes-used question. The tariff matters, but the wattage and the number of minutes under the water usually dominate the final bill.

Worked example
A short burst of high-power use for 10 minutes at 9500W consumes about 1.58 kWh. At 27p/kWh that works out at roughly £0.43 per use, before adding any standing charge. Repeating the same routine five times would cost about £2.14 on the same tariff.
What this calculator does
This page estimates the incremental electricity cost of a single appliance use. It does not include the standing charge, buying price, repairs, detergent or installation. The most accurate input is a measured wall-plug reading or the unit’s energy label rather than the nameplate maximum.
